Earlier this week it was announced that San Marino would be internally selecting their artist, and in fact their participant was already chosen with the song now in post-production.
The broadcaster SMRTV have now announced that their participant will be revealed on January 21st in a press conference. The broadcaster has acknowledged the rumours surrounding their participant however have neither confirmed nor denied those rumours.
In case you’ve missed it, one of the more popular rumours is that the ‘Human Ken Doll’ Rodrigo Alves will perform for San Marino, with Alves himself teasing his ‘participation’ on social media. The broadcaster did confirm that the artist was international, leaving audiences believing that Alves could potentially be the participant.
Unfortunately we will have to wait a little bit longer to find out whether this is true, or more broadly who will be representing San Marino at Eurovision 2019.
